Do you catch yourself dreaming of a classroom where transitions are effortless, students stay engaged, and everyone knows what to do next—a classroom that runs like a well-oiled machine instead of one that makes you want to pull your hair out?
But right now, it feels like no matter what you try, something’s off.
Your students take forever to settle.
You’re repeating directions again (and again). The noise level? Let’s just say your coffee isn’t strong enough for it.
The truth is, getting your classroom under control shouldn’t feel impossible. But when you’re not sure what routines to use, how to keep students engaged, or which classroom management strategy will actually work, it’s frustrating, isolating, and exhausting.
You’re not alone—and you shouldn’t have to figure it out alone.
After 8 years teaching Kindergarten through 4th grade in two different states, I know exactly what it feels like to juggle transitions, manage behaviors, and end the day wondering if you even made a dent.
During my first year teaching, I quickly realized that classroom transitions were a struggle: attention drifted, routines weren’t clear, and I found myself repeating directions over and over. On top of that, our floor was constantly a mess—papers, pencils, little bits of chaos everywhere.
That’s when I came up with a simple solution I call the “secret piece of trash”: one of the last five items left on the floor became the “secret trash,” and whoever found it got a small incentive. Suddenly, students were engaged, moving intentionally, and paying attention during clean-up.
From that day, I discovered the secret to smoother, calmer classrooms: small routines, clear expectations, and playful incentives. These strategies are simple, low-prep, and effective—and they form the foundation of all the tools, visuals, and routines I share on my YouTube channel.
Through simple visuals, fun routines, and classroom-tested tools, I’ve helped over 44,000 teachers transform their classrooms from chaos to calm.
You don’t need a full classroom overhaul. You just need small, doable steps that build momentum.
